Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: August 9, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Calendar FreeSync ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Calendar FreeSync is a web-based service that synchronizes events among Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and iCloud Calendar accounts and provides public scheduling pages for Google and Microsoft calendars. You can configure source and target calendars for syncs. If you create a booking page, visitors can choose an available time and submit their details, and the Service attempts to create an event on the supported destination calendar selected for that page.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering.
4. Calendar Authorization
Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook connections use OAuth authorization. To connect iCloud Calendar, you must provide your Apple Account email and a revocable app-specific password created with two-factor authentication enabled. Calendar FreeSync securely stores that app-specific password in encrypted form to provide iCloud Calendar synchronization and never asks for or receives your primary Apple Account password. By connecting a calendar, you allow us to read events from a source calendar and create or manage events in a target calendar on your behalf.
For scheduling, you authorize the Service to check availability and create, update, or remove booking events in the Google or Microsoft destination calendar you select. iCloud Calendar is not supported for booking availability or booking destinations. You represent that you have permission to connect and use each calendar and that the selected destination calendar is appropriate for receiving booking details.
You may revoke this authorization at any time from within the app or via Google Account Permissions or Microsoft Account Permissions. For iCloud Calendar, revoke the app-specific password from Apple Account settings. Revoking provider-side access will stop future syncs, but you must also disconnect the calendar in FreeSync to delete its stored authorization material from our systems.
Disconnecting a calendar or deleting a sync stops future management but does not remove events already copied to a target calendar. You remain responsible for those events in the target calendar.
5. Public Booking Pages and Your Responsibilities
If you create or operate a public booking page, you agree that:
- An active booking page and the information displayed on it are accessible to anyone with its URL. You will not place confidential information on the page, and you will archive or deactivate a page when you no longer want it available.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the meeting details, location, availability settings, instructions, branding, and other content you publish.
- You will use a destination calendar that you are authorized to use and understand that booking details, including a booker's name, email address, and optional custom answer, may be written to that calendar event.
- You are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any permissions or consents required by applicable law for your collection and use of booker information. You will use that information only for lawful purposes.
- Custom questions must be lawful and appropriate for scheduling. You will not ask for information you do not need or are not permitted to collect.
- Cancellation links contain unique tokens that allow anyone holding the link to cancel the associated booking. You will not publish or share a cancellation link except with the intended booker or another person authorized to manage that booking.
6. Scheduling Limitations
Public booking page URLs are not access-controlled or confidential. Calendar availability, event creation, email delivery, reminders, and cancellation updates depend on your settings and third-party calendar and email services. They may be delayed, unavailable, or unsuccessful.
A displayed time may become unavailable before a booking is completed. The Service does not guarantee that scheduling conflicts or duplicate bookings will never occur. You are responsible for reviewing important bookings and destination-calendar events. If a cancellation cannot be applied to the external calendar, the Service's booking record may show the cancellation while the external event remains and must be handled separately.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to spam, harass, or abuse others.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service without permission.
- Use the Service in a way that violates Google's, Microsoft's, or Apple's terms, policies, or your organization's calendar-access rules.
8. Free and Paid Plans
Calendar FreeSync offers a free tier with limited features and paid plans with expanded capabilities. Plan details, pricing, and limitations are described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that syncs, bookings, calendar events, notifications, or reminders will be processed or delivered without delay. Calendar sync and scheduling depend on third-party APIs and services that may be subject to outages or changes outside our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calendar FreeSync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed events, scheduling conflicts, or data loss.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, stored OAuth tokens and encrypted iCloud Calendar app-specific passwords will be deleted and syncs will cease. Events already copied to external calendars are not automatically removed.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
